In the middle of the month, Google again had to deal with delays in indexing new content. A small number of websites were affected, as reports in the Google Search Status Dashboard confirmed. The problem was identified on December 10th and actively worked on. Google announced a solution the very next day.
John Müller from Google commented on Bluesky that the difficulties probably only affected indexing. Initial checks showed that well-known sites such as Süddeutsche and Tagesschau were not affected. Similar problems have occurred in the past, but were always quickly resolved. Google confirmed that the error should not have any long-term impact on the affected websites.

New Google Core Update: December release brings movement
Google rolled out another core update on December 12, 2024 - just a few days after the November update was completed. As usual, the December update is expected to last up to 14 days and will affect the rcs data vietnam ranking of numerous websites. Interestingly, increased movement in search results was observed after the end of the November update, which could coincide with the new update.

Google justified the timely release by saying that various core systems are being continuously improved. These include the algorithms for helpful content and product reviews, which are now integrated into the core ranking systems. The exact effect of the update will become apparent over time, as it traditionally takes several weeks for all changes to take full effect. Website operators should monitor their rankings closely in order to make potential adjustments.

LinkedIn focuses on video: New features promote creativity and reach
LinkedIn is expanding its video offering, inspired by platforms such as TikTok and YouTube. A new video feed enables short videos that are available directly in the app and give creators and brands enormous reach. A new feature is the display of video views in the home feed, which is intended to motivate the creation of video content. LinkedIn emphasizes the relevance of video storytelling, especially in the B2B sector. The platform recommends reusing existing content and combining creative formats such as carousels and videos. With the aim of further expanding video inventories, LinkedIn is also offering new advertising solutions such as video view campaigns. The development underscores the growing importance of videos for reach, engagement and brand building - an area in which LinkedIn wants to compete with competitors such as TikTok, while continuing to act as a central platform for professional content.
