The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has announced a competition for research and development projects by young scientists. On what topics are projects accepted and until what date are applications accepted?

Competition of research and development projects of young scientists

In August 2024, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced the launch of the Competition of projects of fundamental scientific research, applied scientific research and scientific and italy phone numbers technical (experimental) developments of young scientists. Young scientists must study or work in higher education institutions and scientific institutions related to the management of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.


The implementation of projects and developments is planned to begin in 2025 at the expense of the general fund of the state budget. The work of young scientists should be focused on solving urgent problems in the areas of defense, reconstruction, society and economy of Ukraine.


Topics of scientific developments and projects for the competition:
national security and defense;
mathematics and statistics;
physics, nuclear physics and astronomy;
chemistry, chemical technology and pharmacy;
Earth and environmental sciences;
biology, biotechnology, medicine and rehabilitation;
information technology and electronics;
safe, clean energy and energy efficiency;
mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering;
industrial and construction technologies, logistics, transport;
agricultural and veterinary sciences;
human capital development, social sciences and journalism;
economic transformation, business, administration and law;
Humanities and Arts.

Submission of electronic applications takes place through the National Electronic Scientific Information System .


The deadline for submitting projects for the competition is September 30, 2024.


Who can be the project manager and executor?

The project manager may be a researcher or a young scientist who works in a higher education institution, a scientific institution at their main place of work, and has worked in Ukraine for at least 6 months during the last 12 months. The exception is project managers from institutions located in territories temporarily occupied after February 24, 2022.


The author and executor of the project may be a person who meets the status of a young scientist as defined in the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activities” .
