Update 13th December: We have now included Key Stage 2 data for 2024 following publication of Primary School Performance Tables

Now that Key Stage 2 and (provisional) Key Stage 4 data for 2024 have (finally) been published, we have updated our Schools Like Yours website.

This is designed to help you benchmark your school with a group of similar schools, where you get to choose how similar is defined (although we give you a starter for 10). Lots of schools have started using it as part of their school improvement activities.

New data for 2024
We have included

Key Stage 2 data for 2024
Key Stage 4 data for 2024 (overall indicators and subject-level indicators)
Admissions data for September 2024 entry
The four Ofsted sub-judgments
All the data we put into the tool comes from published DfE and Ofsted data. You can see a full list of sources in the user guide.

Defining schools like yours
By default, Schools Like Yours will compare your school (or any other school you choose) to other schools in similar contexts. This is based on:

Prior attainment
% disadvantaged pupils
% EAL pupils
Cohort size
Income per pupil
But you don’t have to stick with our choices.

You can remove any of the above cambodia rcs data conditions and add others. Maybe you want to compare to other schools in the same region. Or other schools with the same religious denomination. This can be achieved by dragging items from the left-hand menu into the “similarity criteria” box on the top of the page.

Have a look at this blog for a guide on changing the criteria used to define similarity.

Key Stage 4 Subjects
If you want to look at achievement in particular subjects among similar schools then you’ll need to change the dataset on which Schools Like Yours is running. This is straightforward.

Firstly, click on the data drop down menu.

Choose “include subjects.”

The page will refresh, and you’ll see a new sub-heading in the list on the left-hand side called “KS4 subjects, 2024”. Click on this to reveal the full list of subject-related columns available to you.
