Bizum is much more than just a payment app for friends. A few days ago, we told you that it was already possible to pay for online purchases with Bizum and now, in the midst of the emergency due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus, donations through Bizum are emerging as one of the quickest ways to collaborate.

Bizum offers the possibility of making donations to NGOs affiliated with its service , such as the Red Cross, Caritas, UNHCR, Action Against Hunger and the Spanish Association Against Cancer, among others. Due to the current situation, many of these organizations have launched campaigns focused on fundraising to alleviate the effects of this health, economic and social crisis on the most vulnerable groups.

How can you make a donation if you are a client of a Grupo Caja Rural entity?

This is the case of the Spanish Red Cross . This non-profit association contributes decisively to the efforts to reduce the social impact of the COVID-19 pandemic at a national level with actions aimed at the general population and specific actions aimed at groups in situations of special vulnerability, such as people in situations of isolation, confinement or exceptional circumstances of confinement.
