SEMrush has analyzed 30 of the most popular media platforms in Spain to identify who has benefited most from media coverage of COVID-19.

Leading the list is La Vanguardia, which secured top spots on Google by reaching the first pages of organic results related to coronavirus 10 times.

20 minutes has appeared at the top of the search results 4 times, and El Mundo 3 times.

On average, keywords related to coronavirus have improved their presence by an average of 2 positions.

According to SEMrush estimates, average traffic in March for major American news outlets shows an increase of at least 26.6%.

The coronavirus outbreak is worse than anyone could have imagined.
