What is CTR?
The CTR or Click Through Rate is the relationship between the number of clicks that a link gets and the number of impressions that the page where the link is located has. It is important to keep in mind that the CTR only measures the relationship between clicks and impressions of the page, it does not take into account whether they are clicks from a single user or from several users, so here we lose a bit of value, by not having introduced the single user variable.

How to measure CTR?
In order to measure the CTR, what we must do is divide the number of las vegas email marketing address clicks that a link has received by the number of times that the page where the link is located has been displayed.

(clicks / Impressions) x 100 = CTR

What this means is that if we have a link that has received 5 clicks on a page that has the link displayed 100 times, we find that the CTR of this link is 5%, since 5/100*100=5%.

Where can we see the CTR of our Keywords
To see the CTR of the keywords for which we are positioned, we must do so through Google Search Console.

To know the CTR, all we have to do is enter our domain and access the Performance section of the tool. In the performance report that will appear, we will be able to see the average CTR of the website, which is nothing more than the average of all the CTRs of our website. In the report, if we select the Average CTR, the CTR by Keyword will appear, thus allowing us to know what the CTR is for each of the keywords for which our website is positioned.

Why it is so important to work on the CTR of our keywords

Through the report that Advanced Web Ranking produces every month, on the average CTR in each of the positions of a SERP, we can clearly see that, depending on the position in which our snippet is found in the SERPs, the volume of traffic that the keyword contributes is clearly related to the position, so the better the position, the greater the volume of traffic, and obviously the average CTR will vary depending on whether it is a brand keyword, or is from a specific sector, or depending on the search intention, but it is always clear that being among the first 5 positions of the SERP is vital to providing quality traffic to our web project.

How can we improve the CTR of our Keywords?
To improve the CTR of our keywords we basically have 4 levers: optimizing the Title, the Meta Description, and the URL, and obviously generating quality content in line with the user's search intent.

Title
Through Title, we must get the user to access the content, to do this, we must generate a Title that guarantees the information that the user will find on a website that accesses the website, and obviously we must somehow highlight this Title, either through numerical indicators, symbols or dates that will help draw the user's attention.

Meta Description
We all know that the Meta Description is content that in no way positions, but it is true that the Meta Description helps users to make the decision to access, for this reason, in the Meta Description we must work on the content attacking the user's pain points and introducing calls to action, so that in some way the user has the necessary clarity to access the content.

URL
As we have previously mentioned, the methodology to improve the CTR is to give visibility, clarity and quality to the information, and to do so through the URL we must transfer these characteristics, generating a short and clear URL that easily provides information about the content of the page that hosts the URL.

Content
Finally, we must not forget that the most important thing in a project is the content. To do this, we will have to work on this content based on the user's search intention. This means that we must analyze how users search and give them what they need, either through the content or the way it is displayed in the SERPs. For this reason, we must work on the structured data of the website to gain visibility on the results page.
