A/B testing under ideal conditions
If you duplicate a campaign and run them in parallel for AB testing, the campaign created for the test will not inherit the learnings from the original campaign, and the delivery results data will be scattered, causing delays in learning, making it difficult to determine whether a result is the result of the measures taken or other factors.
By using the custom test feature, you can make all conditions identical except for the measure you want to test, so you can see the exact results of the measure.
Checking performance
It has an easy-to-read reporting function that allows you to compare the performance of your original campaign with that of your test campaign.
You can create customized reports by specifying up to two key metrics. You can
also view data at the campaign, ad group, and creative levels to
get a more detailed understanding of performance changes.
Detailed steps are described below.
How to create a custom test campaign
① Select "Custom Test" from the menu bar and select the "+" button.
②Select "Custom Test" and select the campaign type.
3) Enter a test name that describes the content of the test.
④Select the campaign you want to test.
5) The campaign name of the test campaign is composed of the "original campaign name" + "suffix (character string added to the end)". The test name in 5) is entered by default, but you can enter any character string instead.
⑥The campaign you created will be displayed in the list of custom tests, so select it.
