Thanks to Google's focus on relevance, Google will give very little (if any) "link juice" to backlinks to unrelated pages.

For this reason, I recommend focusing exclusively on forums related to your industry.

There are two main criteria for defining industry forums:

1. A forum focused exclusively on your industry.

For example, if you have a business dedicated to web design, then the forum will focus on chinese overseas africa database web design.

Forum backlinks
2. A forum that contains a subforum focused on your industry.

To stay with the web design example, this would be a forum about graphic design that contains a subforum about web design.
