In 2021 , Fosun made a commitment to the society: " Strive to achieve carbon peak in 2028 and carbon neutrality in 2050 " and support the 1.5 °C temperature control target of the Paris Agreement by formulating climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies . To further advance the dual carbon goals, the Group has established a Carbon Neutrality Committee and Working Group to actively promote the further implementation of carbon neutrality management across the Group.
In April this year , in the face of increasingly severe global climate change challenges, Fosun followed the disclosure requirements of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, benchmarked the recommendations of the Task japan phone number list Force on Climaterelated Financial Disclosures TCFD , and released its second climate disclosure report in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Sustainability Disclosure Standard No. 2 Climaterelated Disclosures, demonstrating to the international community the Group's determination for climate action and calling on all sectors to jointly promote carbon neutrality.
In terms of climate action, the Group and its member companies have been actively promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction. Fosun’s insurance company in Portugal , Fidelidade , has just opened a knowledge center to conduct indepth research on climate change. Through cooperation with external entities, including universities, research centers, public institutions, etc., it provides scientific knowledge on the impact of climate change on society, especially the insurance industry.
