Ten thousand fans on Facebook gives a company a huge amount of exposure. In the entire month of June (best month) my gooseberry site had 6,800 visitors who viewed 22,600 pages. On Facebook my last message had over 27,000 impressions. A message on Facebook had more impressions (that is the sum of impressions on my page and on the pages of my followers) than my entire site in 1 month. Facebook also offers a company the opportunity to communicate with many people and to learn something from these fans. What do they expect from your company, what works and what doesn't? It makes your company accessible via an environment where people (soon) may spend more time than watching TV.
Through my page, site and e-mail I have received a huge number of questionsiran phone number list that also have a commercial side: where can I buy gooseberries? Can I also buy gooseberries from you? What is a good gooseberry bush and where can I buy them? All potential customers that I would miss without Facebook. There are dozens of things I would like to do, such as experimenting much more with different Facebook Ads (images & texts and target groups), CPM ads with which you buy impressions instead of clicks (I have tried that but with dramatic results), better analysis of Facebook statistics, building a recipe page in Facebook, a shop in Facebook etc. In short; too much to describe here.
But most importantly: within 3 months I managed to reach my goal: 10,000 fans for the gooseberry page! It's a matter of just getting started, being creative, listening to your visitors (potential customers!), responding to questions and reactions and testing and trying out a lot. My most important advice for companies is simple: stop talking and get started!
