"The BSI is one of the most attractive public employers in the IT sector. So far, we have had no problems finding qualified young talent. To ensure that this remains the case, we invest heavily in our young talent and our employees. By participating in the new degree program at the HS Bund, we want to bind graduates to the BSI at an early stage. We send teachers and offer long-term internships. We offer new colleagues a dynamic working environment, flat hierarchies, rapid advancement opportunities and a secure job . Our employees are committed to their work: they want to make information technology in Germany more secure and thus protect the citizens of this country from harm."
The course is divided into four semesters of theory doctor database at the HS Bund in Brühl and two practical semesters at the BSI. As part of the course, students can choose between the focus areas of "Digital Administration (DA)" and " Cyber Security (CS) ", with the focus on cyber security being reserved for BSI students. The course provides, among other things, in-depth knowledge of information security and IT forensics, which graduates can use to identify and combat the dangers of the digitalized world.
Other topics covered in the course include programming, networks, cryptography, data protection , project management, constitutional and administrative law, business administration and psychology. Later areas of responsibility at the BSI include the preventive protection of IT systems as well as the detection of and response to cyber attacks and IT security incidents.
