Competitive analysis helps you assess your competition’s strategies to determine their strengths and weaknesses relative to your brand. When it comes to digital marketing and SEO, however, there are so many ranking factors and best practices to consider that it can be difficult to know where to start. This checklist is divided into sections that reflect the key elements of our digital balanced scorecard . Before you get started, you’ll need to identify six brands to compare your website to. In addition to a business competitor (or two), this includes your search competitors (who else is ranking for the terms you’re ranking for, or want to rank for ?).
