A nonprofit client we have the privilege of dealing with on a regular basis had this issue. Beyond misunderstandings about their funding sources or operations, they had encountered occasional backlash on social media about their core mission. After all, for any nonprofit or cause, it’s easy to point to two or ten other people who might be seen as “more qualified” based on your ideas. Plus, the nature of their cause draws a lot of attention during the holiday season, with less busy times the rest of the year.

Crowdsourcing user-generated content for better engagement
To combat this and better engage costa rica number data throughout the year, we have again looked for opportunities to put individual faces and stories at the forefront of marketing content.

In this case, we began crowd-sourcing user-generated content through monthly contest programs during the organization’s “off” months. Photos submitted during the contests could be used as individual posts on social media or remixed into videos, blog posts, or used as a starting point for further conversation and promotion development with individuals. Since Facebook was the primary promotion point for these contests, it attracted people who were already highly engaged with the organization and its page. During the initial two-month program, the Facebook page gained 16,660 new fans with no paid promotion, which was 55% of total page likes in the first half of 2016.
