TV commercials in real size and automatically like

Only 40% of companies use social media well
During this second day of LeWeb there is also a separate program about social media. One of the companies that gave a presentation there was Socialbakers, in the person of Jan Rezab (CEO). He kicked off his presentation with a research that they did, which showed that 90% of companies have a profile on social media but that unfortunately only 40% of companies use it well. The other 50% is not really committed to social media. For example, because comments on Facebook pages are not allowed, questions are not answered with a comment, or this comment takes far too long. Jan Rezab showed an example of the company called Claro. This mobile provider reacts impressively fast. In the video below Jan Rezab shows which companies use social media the best and which the worst.

During a conversation with Kevin Rose (founder Digg) and Chad Hurley (founder Youtube and now CEO AVOS Systems) among others, there was a lot of talk about investing, but there was also a brief discussion about possible interesting developments for the future. Kevin Rose indicated that he expects the arrival of the Apple television to turn the entire advertising world upside down. This is because there will be one TV where you know exactly what the screen size is and how big something is displayed. This allows advertisers to display a product in actual size. But they also indicate that the playing field of entrepreneurs is changing. Previously it was about technology, now it is mainly new zealand telegram data about solving problems and making things easier.

Chad Hurley indicated that he is slowly getting tired of tweeting, liking and responding on social media. Unfortunately he did not elaborate on this, but after the morning program I had a conversation about this with Robert Scoble , blogger and tech evangelist. He indicated that Chad Hurley probably means the following: it is not that he is done with social media, but that he finds some actions too time-consuming. With today's technology this should be easier. For example, if I read an article, it is automatically shared or liked. If I do not want that, I have to indicate this. Of course, this already happens partly on Facebook, but is otherwise not used very often. This will of course also meet with a lot of resistance, but perhaps that is a matter of getting used to it.

There is simply too much going on at LeWeb to summarize in a few articles. Unfortunately, I have to leave LeWeb now to catch my flight on time, but in the coming weeks I will share in a number of articles what I have heard and encountered here.
