Well, every company or freelancer can adopt its own communication style that is most suited to its mission and its target audience: formal or witty, irreverent or serious, there is no right formula for every context but only some considerations to follow for every type of business.

A rigid and institutional reality, for example, could benefit from adopting a more welcoming and friendly style of dialogue, provided that this is perceived as natural by its followers and not as a distortion of its corporate identity.

To choose the tone of voice that best suits your case, you need to ask yourself about your brand, and the perception that your audience has of it. Your communication style should be able to be described with two or three adjectives, and be applied across all forms of communication. To decide on the most appropriate communication style you must undoubtedly pay close attention to:

how competitors position themselves (to adopt a distinctive identity towards them)
the historical data in your possession resulting from contacts with your audience (e.g. emails, comments on posts, etc.)
