Longer content = better time on site

Post by Rina7RS »

Obviously, it will take longer to read a 2,000-word guide than a 400-word blog post. But that’s only part of the equation.

Dwell Time Content Another reason why dwell time improves is because longer content fully answers the searcher’s query .

For example, let's say you search for "how to run a marathon."

Publish long content

The first result you click on is a 300-word post. This cayman islands mobile database answers your question to some extent… but you want more.

Pogosticking

So you click the back button to find something better Google calls this "Pogo-sticking," as you may remember.

This time you hit the jackpot.

You find a comprehensive guide covering everything you need to know about running a marathon.

Publish comprehensive guides

It would be much harder if those 2,000 words were presented as a giant wall of text.

Luckily, there’s an easy way to fix this: subheadings.
