Single-leaf. The sizes of the panels vary within 0.7 – 1 m and correspond to the dimensions of standard openings.
Double-leaf. The design feature of such interior doors is that the distance between the frame posts is usually larger. Accordingly, these models are designed for installation in wide openings and are suitable mainly for private houses built according to special projects.
As a variety - one and a half doors. They have one leaf of a standard size, and the second (usually fixed) is slightly smaller. If it is necessary to temporarily expand the opening, it is easy to open it (slide it apart).

Panel. The sash is either a solid or a composite structure, into the cavity of which some material is placed (to improve sound and heat insulation characteristics).
Paneled. These doors are distinguished by a large morocco mobile database of models. The frame and internal crossbars are made of wood, but the inserts are very different - from plywood, MDF, glass (including decorative), and so on. If the door leaf is made independently, then the filling of the frame is done in any way, as the master's imagination suggests. In the private sector - the most common designs.
They are in turn subdivided into "blind" (not visible) and "open". In the doors of the latter type, semi- or transparent glass inserts are used as panels.

Tsargovye. They differ from paneled analogues in that they have prefabricated inserts. Boards are laid in the opening, which give the door strength. The advantage is that these parts can be replaced with others that are different in material (for example, glass), texture, pattern. In terms of repairability, this is one of the best options.
Linear. They can also be classified as panel doors. These doors are a frame filled over the entire area with a single sheet of another material - glass, plastic, MDF. Options include a central pillar, increased width of vertical frame elements, which somewhat narrows the opening. Such models optimally combine originality, a variety of design solutions, a large selection of sizes and an affordable price. A significant advantage is that linear doors can be matched to any interior, without restrictions.
What to consider
There are plenty of options: painted, varnished, veneered, laminated, etc. When choosing a door based on its decorative design, it is worth considering (which many forget) its repairability. For example, plastic. It is unlikely that deep scratches will be masked. Considering the low cost of the door leaf, it is easier to buy a new one. And here is the question - will it be possible to match it to the shade of the frame? And what if you want to change the color when changing the interior of the room? On your own - unlikely. In this regard, such types of interior doors as paneled and solid wood are preferable. Restoration of these doors (replacement of inserts) is within the power of any owner.
