In this review, I would like to share my personal experience of installing garage doors. The garage is located on a private plot of land. I started choosing the gates at the stage of designing the garage. Without thinking twice, I decided to install sectional gates with an electric drive. Since the author of this text had previously used a garage with metal swing gates for many years, the prospect of installing the same gates in his new garage did not seem bright. The option of installing roller gates was also considered. But the manager who sells the gates dissuaded me from this option. According to him, roller gates, with significantly smaller budget savings compared to sectional gates, have a number of significant disadvantages.
When ice freezes on the roller shutter, there is a risk of ivory coast mobile database failure when opening. Also, the roller shutter has much lower rigidity. I chose sectional gates made of sandwich panels from Alutech, a company made in Belarus. The gate panels are made of hot-dip galvanized sheet steel with subsequent application of a protective and decorative polymer coating. The panel is filled with environmentally friendly polyurethane foam (does not contain freons). The panel thickness is 4.5 cm.
The section head has a special shape, providing high rigidity of the assembled gate. The panels have a special EPDM seal, providing air tightness of the canvas. I will note that they are about twenty percent cheaper than the German Hörmann. The manufacturer offers a good color range and three types of section patterns (microwave, horizontal corrugation, panel). I chose a large L-corrugation profile in gray (anthracite) for myself, it looks very hi-tech. The gate is white inside.
The manufacturer provides the possibility of installing doors, windows, ventilation grilles in the gate. It is possible to complete the gate with a Chinese or Spanish electric opening drive. I installed a Spanish one, it came with one remote control with a declared range of up to thirty meters. The drive power is 0.3 kW, it is equipped with a power cord for connecting 220 V, a little less than a meter. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a socket on the ceiling of the garage.
A light is built into the drive, which turns on whenever the drive is activated and goes out after about two to three minutes. In the event of a power outage, it is possible to open the drive from inside the garage. In the absence of a separate entrance to the garage, the gate is additionally equipped with a device for unlocking the gate from the outside in case of a power outage.
