Channel Priority
Don’t test channels randomly. Have a process to improve your ROI and act fast. I use two techniques to prioritize channels to test:
Use the ICE prioritization framework Requirements Prioritization to determine which investments have the highest expected return on investment.
I started my ICE calculation by finding another person who had grown a company similar to mine via LinkedIn — and then grilling them thoroughly to understand what worked and what didn’t.
ICE Framework
If successful, how much positive impact will the channel have – and, if the test fails, can the workforce be repurposed for another project?
If you dare to try, it will work - how risky is this channel? Has azerbaijan mobile database anyone used this before?
How easy is it to try—how much time and resources does it take?
Add the numbers together and then divide by three to get an average score for each channel. Repeat this exercise for each channel and then rank them by score.
The channels at the top of the list have the highest expected value and should be prioritized.
Free channels
I want to share a framework that specifically prioritizes free channels: persistent vs. non-persistent channels.
Twitter is what I call a persistent channel: if you keep posting good tweets, your followers will definitely compound. It’s just a matter of persistence.
By comparison, Product Hunt, reddit, or Hacker News are all randomly selected outlets. You’re at a disadvantage in the competition for the day’s front page, and you rarely make it.
