According to NZZ am Sonntag, the Zurich Cantonal Bank (ZKB) has invested in the start-up investment platform investiere.ch. What does investiere.ch do? It mediates between creative young entrepreneurs, mostly from the digital world, and investors who want to invest in new ideas with sums of 25,000 francs or more. It's a wonderful idea to give young entrepreneurs the capital they need and make their dreams come true. And the fact that an established bank is helping with know-how and israel rcs data money - hats off to them. Martin Scholl, the head of the ZKB, says in the NZZ article that Zurich is not competing with Basel or Uster for start-ups in the digital world, but with London and Berlin. Correct - and this is exactly where we need to start if Zurich is to remain attractive to those who implement our ideas.
This includes sensible taxation of start-ups; and this includes simple forms of initial financing. And people with a certain amount of wealth should find ways not only to invest it conservatively and safely (which is what I recommend for eighty percent of the money), but also to invest in new ideas that may initially seem crazy based on their gut feeling.
