1. Focus your efforts on customer experience

We believe in being genuine and really interested in their buying and using experiences. We want them to buy the right product for them, rather than just selling them what we think they need,” she explains.

2. Put your customers first
Every retailer's strategy should be customer-centric. You need to understand what they want and consider their needs as your first priority.

It's not just about having the products you want in stock; it's about making customers feel good.

Your salespeople should not pressure customers who enter your store. No one likes to be forced into something, so avoid sales techniques that are overwhelming to the customer. Simply talk to them, find out what they need, and offer several solutions that fit their price point. If the customer likes your service (and the product), they will come back.

Even if you don't sell the product the customer really needs, don't hesitate to recommend it to them and tell them where they can buy it. The customer will appreciate your help and it will build trust with them. As a result, when that customer comes back to your store, they will be much more likely to trust your salespeople. You should aim for long-term relationships, not short-term sales!
