Children's Day, celebrated every October 12th, is one of the most profitable dates in Brazilian retail .

Expectations for this year are quite positive, according to research by the National Confederation of Retail Managers (CNDL) and the Credit Protection Service (SPC Brasil). With a turnover of R$13.68 billion expected, 73% of Brazilian consumers are expected to go shopping to buy gifts for children in 2022.

1) Barber shop/children's beauty salon
In the past, it was common for parents to take their children to their own barbershops or beauty salons so they could get their hair cut or make any other type of change to their appearance.

The professional always had that little Barbie or Hot Wheels stroller chair in the corner of the establishment, and would pull it to the center of the space as soon as the child arrived.

However, this reality is different today. In addition to professionals trained exclusively to care for babies and children , and their respective treatments related to hair and beauty in general, today, there are also themed stores aimed at children.

Toys, sweets, video games, arcade games and even capes of children's favorite superheroes are part of the always very colorful structure of those looking to invest in this business initiative.

2) Organic food for children
Organic products have taken over supermarket shelves and e-commerce in recent years.

According to the survey “Panorama of organic consumption in Brazil”, carried out by the Organic Promotion Association (Organis), in 2021, the number of organic food consumers in the country grew by 63%.

This trend, of course, could not be different when it comes to children, after all, feeding babies and children requires even greater care, since they are in the development phase.
