Gemma Sara Ventín , Professor at Bureau Veritas University Center .

On June 1st, Bureau Veritas Formación (BVF) had the opportunity to attend the XXVI Congress of EBEN Spain (European Business Ethical Network). Presenting the novelties proposed by the University of Cambridge, in a presentation in which I spoke about the quality and responsibility of the leadership of people who make up an organization.

In a climate of dialogue and enrichment , multiple topics were discussed around “work in the function and Social Responsibility of the company” , the central title of the meeting, which was held at the University of Malaga.

Starting from the trinomial : society , worker and chinese america data leadership , from BVF we present a theoretical approach to responsible leadership , where the influence of these management and direction positions constitute a key element for the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility .

An analysis that is based on the defense that effective leadership should be developed under the concept of quality , on the cross-cutting axis of Corporate Social Responsibility or responsible business management, and directing all its actions towards sustainability.

Therefore, we can only confirm the importance and implication that leadership has in any management, implementation or improvement process. From this premise, we enter into a very broad conceptual framework from which different qualities linked to leadership have been addressed .

And in light of this, we can express a certain degree of disagreement or lack of consensus when seeing numerous classifications around this concept: transformational leadership , service leadership , positive leadership , ethical leadership , etc. Each one with defining characteristics , some of which are shared.

It is true that throughout the history of humanity, the concept of leadership has been deepened in the fields of politics , sociology , psychology and business , consolidating its importance in any process of change.

The aspect shared by all classifications is the link between the leader and a significant power of influence . This is an essential idea on which the new leadership model , “Rewiring leadership” , proposed by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) of the University of Cambridge , is built .
