CALL-TO-ACTION: how to convert clicks into potential customers!

Post by monira444 »

Call-to-Action or CTA literally means “call to action”. It is a concept widely used in Digital Marketing, especially in landing pages, email marketing and advertisements. Even outside the web, every day we are impacted by different calls: “Pull”, “Push”, “Open”, “Come visit us”, “Come in, air conditioning”, “Smile, you are being filmed”. All of these signs exist to indicate what should be done in a given context. It is no different online!

call-to-action-1There are countless actions that companies want visitors to take, as these lead to lead generation and, subsequently, sales. These actions can be varied: signing up to receive a newsletter, filling out a form, downloading something, requesting a quote, taking a free software trial or clicking on a link in a post. In order to achieve this goal, the means of communication must attract the visitor in some way. CTAs serve this purpose: directing the user to the action desired by the company.

What are the formats of CTAs?
BUTTONS
Buttons are one of the most commonly found formats on website home pages, forms, email campaigns, e-commerce purchase pages, etc. The example below is the DropBox home page, where we bulgaria whatsapp data can find 3 Call-to-Action buttons: “Sign up for free”, “Try DropBox Business” and “Sign up for free via Google”.

BANNERS
It is today the most used format on blogs and social media. The banner is an image that, in itself, provides more context than just a button (which always depends on other elements on the page).

LINKS IN TEXTS
This one is famous! Although it often has an internal linking nature, it is not limited to blog posts or other pages on the site. You can also use it in other environments, such as emails, videos, texts in eBooks, etc.

POP-UP BOXES
The little boxes that pop up in front of the visitor, and can be central, rise/fall from a corner of the screen or appear on the sides. Who hasn't heard of them? Just be careful to always give the visitor the option to close them without difficulty, otherwise they may get upset and the CTA will have the opposite effect. One tip is to program it to appear only after the user has scrolled the entire page, for example.
