In the early days of digital marketing, back at the turn of the century, content was all about search engine optimization ( SEO ) and saturating the market with keywords. The focus was more on quantity than quality . Visibility in search results was the holy grail. Keywords galore, man!

Brands began to tell stories, connect emotionally with their audiences, and foster online communities. Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter became key elements for content marketing strategies. And social media has not come down from that throne since.
And jumping from network to network, we came face to face with data analytics, which took content marketing to a new stage: personalization . The issue was no longer just about attracting, but also about being relevant and providing value to each specific user.
User experience has taken a step forward and content marketing has stopped focusing only on informing, and has also focused on educating and entertaining. Informing, educating and entertaining: the three basic pillars of journalism… Coincidence?
And what until then was just science fiction saw the light. Artificial intelligence exploded before our eyes and, suddenly, we had tools like Chat GPT in our hands , with natural language processing and machine learning. A giant leap for content marketing!
