Since the beginning of September, sugar factories in Tambov Oblast have processed more than a million tons of new-harvest sugar beets. According to the regional Ministry of Agriculture, more than 159 thousand tons of sugar have been produced from the raw materials.

To date, the region has harvested more than 1.9 million tons of sugar beet from 46% of the total field area.

It should be noted that the total capacity of five sugar beet processing plants is 31.1 thousand tons per day. Sugar is sold in the region, in chain stores in Russia, supplied to confectionery manufacturers, and is also exported to 18 countries. The leaders among importing countries are the Republics of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey.

"Our region annually forms the necessary commodity stocks of basic food products, including sugar. According to her, from January to June, the volume of investments in fixed capital of industrial production increased threefold and exceeded 10 billion rubles. The wages of workers in manufacturing industries increased by a quarter and amounted to 60 thousand rubles. Over 7 months of the current year, the volume of tax revenues to the Tambov Region budget from industrial enterprises increased by 20 percent and amounted to 5 billion rubles.

In 2024, a new priority production facility for the region, Metall Service LLC, was launched to produce large-section round and shaped pipes for the oil and gas industry, as well as for construction and mechanical engineering. 150 jobs were created.

The region also carries out ongoing work to promote the development of defense industry enterprises. It monitors and, if necessary, provides assistance in implementing production programs, technical modernization, ensuring personnel needs, and much more.

The regional Industrial Development Fund is working effectively, thanks to which for every ruble of regional funds invested, an additional nine rubles are attracted from the federal budget.

"For the first time in the last few years, our region has seen an increase in the number of small and medium-sized businesses. Over 9 months, the growth was 5%. The number of employees in SMEs has also increased. The growth of newly created enterprises is about 7%," said Natalia Makarevich.

It is worth noting that the number of self-employed Tambov residents (more than 38 thousand people) and social entrepreneurs has increased by almost 50%.

Positive dynamics testify to the effectiveness of state support measures. State support is provided for young and beginning entrepreneurs - up to 500 thousand rubles, training in the basics of business, consulting.
