Data connectivity
In this November 2024 Power BI update, Power BI has introduced a significant improvement to its Snowflake connector. Queries sent to Snowflake will now include a query tag that provides additional information about the query context, such as whether it originates from Direct Query or not. This functionality will be rolled out to the Power BI service later this month and is expected to be available in Power BI Desktop and On-Premises Gateway in early 2025.
