Hector Marcos: To what extent can social media influence SEO? And just taking into account Google Plus?
David : Well, it's a bit of a trend, it's what is called social SEO. What does social SEO consist of? It's about spreading valuable content from our blog on social networks. What's the objective? First, because we're going to get visitors to our website, great, Google loves that. Secondly, because if those posts we make on social networks have interaction from users, they get "likes", they're shared, Google will detect that it's quality, important content and it will increase and improve our ranking a little bit more.
Then we have Google+, which is obviously Google's favourite because it's theirs and the posts we make on this network will be a little different from the rest of the social networks. In addition, they will appear in the search engine, so when a user does a search we have the possibility of seeing the post on Google+ related to the post appear.
Eva Garrido: We always talk about commercial brands, what about the third sector of NGOs, foundations, associations? What kind of messages and campaigns can work for them on social networks? Because they can't follow all the ones used by commercial companies, right?
Alicia : NGOs and all these non-governmental organisations can get a mobile directory out of social media. Of course, as always, by offering content of interest to their followers. I have noted down a few ideas here: telling personal stories, experiences related to their work, to their daily lives, listening to their followers and the needs of specific and concrete groups, it is a good channel for that, supporting other just causes, not only their own, using social media to mobilise and organise volunteers, remember for example the impact that the hashtag #15M had.
Yesterday, in response to this question, I was looking around a bit on Facebook. I saw several non-governmental organisations such as Doctors Without Borders or UNICEF and they have many fans. But not only that, they are also very participative. Doctors Without Borders has more than 600,000 “likes” on its page, which a priori does not necessarily have to be a sign of success, because it is often better for your posts to have a lot of interaction. But, in addition, the last post they made had 630 shares and 60 comments. So I think there is a lot of room for this type of association on social networks and they are great channels, of course, to reach their members and communicate with them.
Delete Google+ page34. How to delete a Google+ page
Paloma Pérez: I want to delete a page I created on Google Plus and it says something very strange. What do I do?
Elena: It's very simple. You've reached the typical section that appears when you want to delete a Google+ page. All you have to do is simply check the hangouts tab and the tab that says "yes, I want to delete this account." And "yes, I accept that I am still blah blah blah." Don't worry, that doesn't mean that you're going to delete anything of yours, it just means that you're deleting the page you created and that's it, you'd hit delete. It's very simple, although a very strange screen appears with a message that seems like it's going to delete everything, no, it's very simple.
WordPress Templates35. Best WordPress Templates
Oscar Arteaga: What are three WordPress themes you would recommend right now?
Ernesto : This question is difficult to answer, there are as many templates as there are designers, in the end it is a rather subjective answer. Which templates are my favorites? Well, the templates that make your life easier, those that allow you to face projects with full guarantees. For that, there are some criteria that I highlight when choosing what would be a premium template from what would not be a template, let's say, one of the best.
What are these criteria? Well, first of all, you have to have a lot of demos , a lot of websites within these templates, meaning that you can build very different websites with this template. Sometimes we think that a WordPress template is only useful for making websites that are always the same, but that is not the case. A premium template like this one that comes with a lot of demos will allow you to tackle very different projects with full guarantees. What else do I consider important when choosing a good template? That the visual style is modern , that it incorporates the latest design trends. Another aspect that I consider very important is the fact that it includes a visual layout . And what is a visual layout? Well, it is a plugin that will allow you to design your content in a very simple way, by dragging elements, etc., and you can put a lot of elements into your website in a simple way, without having to touch code or anything like that. More things that I consider crucial: that it has advanced plugins , plugins that are normally paid for and that allow you to do very interesting things.
