When I reflect on my experiences managing teams, I am struck by the profound lessons I have learned about delegation, diversity and inclusion, and team leadership. Each aspect plays a crucial role in fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment, and I have come to appreciate their importance through first-hand experience.

As I embark on this journey of discovery, I have learned that avoiding “sharp elbows” and “putting yourself last” is critical to establishing a culture of collaboration, respect, and mutual support in the workplace. Finally, I am looking forward to seeing where curiosity will take me and what discoveries it will bring along the way.

Transformational Leadership: Inspiring Growth and Innovation
As he delved deeper into the concept of transformational leadership, looking at its essence through the framework of the finite vs. infinite game, our guest executive speaker reminded us of the importance of long-term goals and the fundamental principle that “leadership is not about being in charge, but about taking care of those in charge.”

One of my notes also states that by articulating clear and compelling long-term goals, I can empower people to connect their work to a larger purpose, fostering a sense of meaning and fulfillment in their roles.

Through six modules, I have gained valuable knowledge and practical skills that have equipped me to become a more effective leader. From understanding the importance of self-awareness and embracing diversity to fostering a culture of curiosity and collaboration, each module has provided unique insights and tools to empower the leaders of tomorrow. With the support of my mentor, I feel more confident and prepared to face the challenges and opportunities that await me on my path to leadership.
