Dutch banks are missing opportunities!

Crowdsourcing has now been widely applied, particularly in the fast-moving sector. But there are also various examples of crowdsourcing in the banking sector abroad. For example: DBS in Asia, which crowdsourced a new design for bank branches via Facebook with Your Bank, Your Design , the Italian WeBank , which crowdsourced the bank's iPad app, and Chase in the US, which set up a program to crowdsource money for charities to projects . Other examples can be found at American Express (testing new services), Danske Bank (developing mobile banking) belarus phone number list and FirstDirect (FirstDirectLab: collecting suggestions and ideas from customers).

Dutch banks can of course do that too: from developing the customer interface, the office design to the services that the bank provides and the content of the product line. But also testing whether the current services and products are satisfactory. The good thing about this is that it also provides for active dialogue, aimed at restoring trust. That is to say: if the banks then also act on what the customer wants. Moreover, such a process takes place in complete transparency and it can be measured perfectly how many customers participate, on which subjects they have expressed themselves and to what extent this has subsequently been acted upon.

The tools needed for crowdsourcing are available 'off the shelf', no expensive automation programs and associated problems, no top-down organized culture programs. Only the will and courage to tackle these important topics in a fresh and effective way. The customer is waiting for it. Which bank management dares to show 'thought leadership' with this?
