Balconies, loggias and cold walls in the netherlands mobile database of the Russian winter need thermal insulation. There are many materials for this. One of them is polyurethane foam or PPU, as builders call it. In Russia, insulation has only recently begun to be used. This material is applied by simple spraying and is extremely effective in retaining heat, so in our harsh regions it has quickly gained popularity.

In Europe, polyurethane foam has been used for decades. For example, during the restoration of old districts of Paris, remnants of polyurethane foam produced in the late 1930s were found.
Speaking about the material itself, it should be noted that polyurethane foam reliably insulates surfaces, retaining heat.
The insulating layer is created by simply spraying a mixture of two substances, polyol and polyisocyanate. When mixed, these components react and form cells inside which air or carbon dioxide is preserved, which is completely harmless to people, but poorly conducts heat.
