In this topic I will tell about the device of local sewerage in a bathhouse. Country sewerage can be made according to a similar scheme.

The principle of local sewerage is quite simple: used water is drained into water receivers with a water seal - drain traps located in the floor. Then, through sewer pipes laid under the floor, the water is diverted to a specially organized well - a septic tank, where it settles and is absorbed into the ground. Solid waste (feces), due to the vital activity of certain types of bacteria, decomposes into simple elements, decreasing in volume by tens of times.

There are three sewage receivers installed in the bathhouse: in the steam room, in the washroom, and in the toilet.

The receivers of sewage are:
1. Drain trap in the sink.
2. Drain trap in the steam room.
3. Tee in the toilet for connecting the toilet and ventilation.
